āA lesson I have learned many times in my 20 years as a marketplace investor is that aggregating demand is the one & only key. Aggregating supply is not the hard part, & having differentiated supply or thinking because you own supply you can enter the market is misplaced thinkingā -Ā Bill Gurley
Dear Readers,
Hi!Ā My name isĀ Venky. I write Agribusiness Matters every week to help us make sense of vexingĀ questions of food, agribusiness, and digital transformation in an era of Climate change. Feel free to dig around theĀ archives,Ā if you are new here.

Dear Readers,
In Indic religious thought, there is a concept ofĀ Shesha prashna.Ā If you are from the land of Bengal, you might remember a popular novel of the same name written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.
In simple terms, it points to those questions which remain unanswered.
Truth be told, my newsletter has been a journey of answered in pursuit of unanswered questions. In this edition, I explore questions like Can Indian Ag-Tech Hit Sweet Spot with FBN Playbook? With payAgriās acquisition, has Indian Agtech found its golden middle finger? (I bet, itās not what you are thinking), and more importantly, can technology really move the needle and make anyĀ real, tangibleĀ difference in the dystopian climate emergency agrarian future?
I have explored some of these questions in my latest subscriber-only post while meditating on the sesha prashna, those questions which elude answers.
This is a subscriber-only post. I hope to see some of you join the Agribusiness Matters community.
Cheers,
Venky
