I want to introduce a new section for subscribers. I call it Warm Data Story of the Week.
Orientation: My name is Venky, I write Agribusiness matters to explore wicked questions pertaining to agriculture and our future that go beyond moralizing answers of the technological kind. Feel free to dig around the archives, if you want to get a flavor of my previous agribusiness writings.
In order to explore wicked questions pertaining to agriculture, we need warm data. For several decades in the world of research, we’ve been accustomed to studying data without context (because it is convenient), and now historically, we are at an inflection point where we can no longer afford to do that.
